Fall Protection and Electrical Training

The Hispanic Contractors Association of Minnesota (HCA-MN) will offer a fall protection training in Spanish as part of the OSHA-10 course.
This course is for private sector personnel who are interest in developing safety and health programs in the construction industry, covers OSHA policies, procedures and standards, as well as construction safety and health principles. Topics include scope and application of the OSHA construction standards. Special emphasis is placed on those areas that are the most hazardous, using OSHA standards as a guide. Upon successful course completion, the students will receive and OSHA construction safety and health 10- hour course completion card.
The training is free for HCA-MN members:
•Focus on fall protection and electrical hazards.
Students will learn about fall protection, fall hazard identification, how to select the proper protective system and the importance of planning for fall protection.
Date: Saturday Feb 24th of 2018.
Time: From 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM

The training will be provided by Pedro López. Mr. López , is a former Senior Safety Compliance MN-OSHA Investigator, a Federal OSHA authorized outreach Spanish trainer, a 502 OSHA authorized construction trainer, a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) and the Safety Professionals & Latino workforce (SPALW), an American Society for Healthcare Engineering certified, and a Certified Health and Safety Technician (CHST), from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP). While working for MN-OSHA, Mr. López investigated numerous of serious and fatal accidents. He is also the founder and current president of the Hispanic Contractors Contractors Association of Minnesota.
