HCA-MN Live radio segment “Hispanics in construction”.

With the support of our sponsors and with the collaboration of Radio Rey 630 AM/ 94.9 FM, The HCA-MN will conduct live radio segments “Hispanics in construction”. Two Saturdays a month during the 2018 summer.
We will talk about the following topics:
Who is the Hispanic Contractors Association of Minnesota?
What services does the HCA-MN offers?
Who is OSHA?
What does OSHA do?
What are the most common OSHA fines?
What are the most common hazards in the construction industry?
What are the employee’s rights under OSHA law?
What are the contractor’s/employer’s rights and responsibilities under OSHA law?
What to do when OSHA shows up at your project/workplace to conduct a work place safety audit?
We will talk about many other topics related to construction, workforce and safety. We will also give away prices and gift cards to the construction workers and contractors that participate in correctly answering safety questions during the live segments.
The segments will be presented by Pedro López. Mr. López, is a former Senior Safety Compliance MN-OSHA Investigator, a Federal OSHA authorized outreach Spanish trainer, a 502 OSHA authorized construction trainer, a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) and the Safety Professionals & Latino workforce (SPALW), an American Society for Healthcare Engineering certified, and a Certified Health and Safety Technician (CHST), from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP). American Red Cruz Certified First Aid, CPR, and AED trainer. While working for MN-OSHA, Mr. López investigated numerous of serious and fatal accidents. He is also the founder and current president of the Hispanic Contractors Association of Minnesota.
